Welcome to my home, the City of Midway, a small historic town nestled in southeast Georgia. Since it’s chartering in 1925, Midway has continued to grow as it cultivated its rich history and preserved its natural resources.
A city with a population of 2,121, Midway has something for everyone! If you are a history buff, Midway Congregational Church and Cemetery, Midway Colonial Museum, Dorchester Academy and The Museum of African–American History are places to visit. All who are infatuated with ancient live oaks and Spanish moss, take a drive down Martin Road and enjoy the continuous canopy of majestic Oaks that lines the street from east to west. For the nature lovers, Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center and Board Walk provides a unique opportunity to observe, study, and appreciate the diversity of species and animals that inhabit the wetlands.
The city serves as home for Liberty County Industrial Development Authority’s Industrial Park; Midway-Riceboro Library; several day care center; Liberty Elementary School and Midway Middle School.
If you are searching for a day or weekend of fun, Midway is the ideal place for you. While in Midway, I invite you to shop at our retail stores and dine in one of our many restaurants and sandwich shops.
Midway, conveniently located off Interstate I-95, are minutes away from Savannah and Brunswick. It provides easy access to two major airports, Savannah-Hilton Head International to the North and Jacksonville International to the South.
Think of Midway when considering a new home location or starting a new business.
Midway’s Mayor Welcomes YOU.
